As I look at my life online I can see it's been as scattered as my offline life! Ha ha! I have been away from the show circuit and am NOW starting to apply to shows and get back into the selling groove. Mostly I have been working my side job at the Athens Classic Center, where I am a stagehand union worker. There I am getting time with actual people and not just alone in my studio all the time. I work props for Broadway shows that come through and it's a blast!
(I do that and making custom pieces for my best customers. I love them! )
When I look at this particular blog I noticed it has been a few years and for your information, I am not teaching glass courses anymore. My "big" idea of starting a craft center in Athens failed miserably. At least I tried! When it all boiled down to it, I am really a jewelry artist and that is what I do best.
I have been fortunate enough to have the time to keep my glass making work active and productive. I am making glass work like crazy in anticipation of getting into shows this fall and winter. There are many pieces ready to be set in silver on my bench now! If you are reading this now, whether you have just discovered my work or have been a fan for a long time I am hoping you will be able to visit me in a future show or follow the new work online.
It's tough to "do it all" but we, as artists, have to do our best. Soon I will be posting some of my newest work. This website will let you know what's going on and give you an opportunity to check out the color chart where you can custom order your favorite colors. It will also direct you to my etsy store where I sell online.
Besides selling online with my own store my goal this year is to apply and sell on Artful Home. This is something I am working towards. I want to make sure I have enough pieces to open a decent page and I am hoping to work with a local photographer in Athens to have the best pictures possible.
I'll be back and thank you for checking in!
